Bamboo, being symbolic of Spring in chinese medicine, visually communicates a philosophy of rejuvenation and health. The bamboo logo mark is abstracted into it’s most basic elements, similar to a sumi brush painting.

The company provides bat reviews, an interactive forum, product pictures and descriptions for customers and the ability to purchase online. They also plan to release their own line of branded athletic apparel. The logo is iconic and communicates an authority in the athletic industry.

    American Mutual Insurance Services provides a wide selection of home, auto and life insurance. maoStudios designed a timeless American logo that was clean, professional and unique. By balancing the heavy weight of the icon and the classic serif typeface, the logo rests comfortably in white space and exudes a sophisticated professionalism.

    Artefact is a brand created for custom jewelry designer, Lili Hall. Her jewelry designs consist of wirework and precious stones, and are a modern expression of Mesopotamian art. The logo mark is a hieroglyphic “A” and represents the role of history in modern art. This modernization is expressed through the custom typeface in the logo.

The hand-drawn logo uses a palette of warm orange and deep brown, complemented with a natural off-white value.     FocusPlus is a consult liason service management tool developed by Ignite Analytics. The FocusPlus software functions on a system of intuitive “plus-minus” cascading menus. maoStudios created the structure of the logo icon with this in mind, forming an “F” out of a plus and minus. A modern color scheme was chosen to differentiate the FocusPlus brand from its competitors and the overall design is clean and soft to appeal to medical doctors and administrators.

    Genuinsanity is an independent publisher from Seattle featuring creative literature focused on social commentary and philosophy. maoStudios developed the logo for Genuinsanity from the the creator’s signature, which seems a chaotic scribble. As much of the work is originally produced handwritten or punched out on an old typewriter, the juxtaposition of the hand-sketched icon and typed out name is well suited to the character of the work.

    Mama’s Own Savory Salsa is rapidly growing in popularity and becoming a recognizable gourmet salsa brand, carried in Whole Foods and other local specialty grocery stores. The logo, a type treatment with no icon, utilizes an old time font that brings a person back to the comfort of home.

The logo mark is a simple and elegant calligraphic stroke which forms a profile of a face. The mark is complemented by a modern typeface and a warm and sophisticated color scheme.

Using a decorative font and a spiral icon in a stylized house, the logo is anything but serious. A muted blue adds a level of modern sophistication, without detracting from its light-heartedness.

The site lists safe eCommerce stores, search engines, and much more that are screened by the company for ethical transactions. The company focuses on Internet Security, while providing the latest articles and current events on the subject. Half of the company’s proceeds are donated to non-profit foundations. As the company’s main focus is to provide users a hub for information, the logo was designed to show movement from a central point.
